The film follows a disjointed family brought together by the spirit of water. The film delves into the strength and struggles of Filipina matriarchs, revealing how religion and spirituality affects our intergenerational family relationships.

“Vuhklaan Sa Kalawakwahn”— a play on the colloquial term vuhklaan or baklaan — which refers to a vibrant gathering of queer people embracing their queerness — explores identity and self-expression within the vastness of queerness.
